Say Welcome to my Little Angel

Thu Dec 9, 2010: Today is the day my little angel entered into this BAD world to make my family happy. Around 4.00 PM Doctor rushed to Operation room, since Normal delivery doesn't happened he opted for sigerian, everything went smooth after that. I received a call from family at 5.00 PM (BTW I was in Pune & Wife in Athani [Belgaum Dist]) and that was Baby Girl!!! Yuppeeee !!!! I expected a baby girl and God listened to me. ThanQ God, always be there for me !!!!..... I heard the voice of baby over phone, she was crying loudly, I couldn't hold my emotions, my eyes got filled with water, I experienced a totally new feeling and obviously I enjoyed it. Parallelly my respect towards womanhood increased, the pain a woman sustain during delivery is hard to digest(for husband). I decided to travel to Athani, my eyes very much excited to see baby, my hands very much eager to hold n hug baby. Ohhhhh!!!! Damn !!! what a feeling, really, what a feeling !!!! The one who experienced it in their life only can understand such things, others just enjoy the blog and continue reading !!!

Fri Dec 10, 2010: I reached the destination, now, as per our tradition I should not rush to see the baby immediately, there is a procedure for that. First we have to fix a GOOD time to see the baby according to baby's Birth time & Raashi. Around 11.00 AM I stepped towards Hospital, on the way I purchased a small(very small actually) golden ring to present it to my Angel. I entered the hospital, entered the ward, entered the room, finally got to see my baby, she started starring at me, she is so tender and soft, softer than sponge!! softer than cream!! OMG!!! my heartbeat fastened, even I afraid to take the baby in my hands, I afraid baby might slip from my hand, baby's neck/legs/hands might twist if I doesnt hold properly. I called my baby as Chikku. Slowly, carefully I took baby in my hand and hugged slightly. That was nice and memorable moment, the whole day n night Chikku's face stayed infront of my sight.

Sat Dec 11, 2010: I started distributing sweets(Jalebi) among friends and family. Here, we usually distribute Jalebi if baby is girl and Pedha for baby boy. I was busy in distributing sweets whole day, but there in hospital Chikku cried non-stop whole day. Evening we took her to Child hospital, that hospital is beside maternity hospital only, hardly 2 minute walk. Chikku suffering from fever, we admitted her in that hospital. Doctor suggested Saline, pierced needle in her tiny hands. I couldn't see that and I started crying along with Chikku. I and my Mother stayed back in hospital and whole night sat beside her. She slept for few hours but around 1.30AM she woke up and started crying, her lips so dried, she might be hungry, but her mother(my wife, Prabha :-P) unable to feed her as she is not in same hospital, also she cant walk & take stairs as she undergone sigerian. Somehow we managed to feed Chikku and she jumped to sleep. Again Chikku woke up at 3.00AM and 5.30AM and started crying, everytime she cried I have to knock Maternity hospital. I couldn't hold my tears by seeing all these. Around 6.30AM Doctor visited Chikku and confirmed less fever. We requested Doctor to remove Saline for few hours, "we are taking the baby to her mother, will come back once we feed the baby". But the Doctor denied for that, seems he took our words in different way, he might have thought that we are going to consult another Doctor. So he asked us to get discharged from his hospital. We requested him that baby is crying so much and her mother cant walk as she undergone sigerian. Then Doctor got convinced and permitted to take the baby. Chikku felt happy in her mother's arm and slipped to sleep after feeding.

Sun Dec 12, 2010: Around 11.00AM we took back Chikku to hospital and continued the treatment. Doctor observed that the Chikku's body turned to pale yellow color. He suspected Jaundice and suggested blood test to be done. Ohh God!!! not again !!! they again pierced needle n took blood. Chikku cried louder and louder this time. I moved out of the room to control my tears. There in Maternity hospital, Prabha is not aware of all these type of treatments on Chikku. She is very much upset and that is obvious. Doctor had look at blood test report and confirmed Jaundice. Around 8.30 PM Chikku shifted to special room for "Photo Therapy" (Photo Therapy is exposing baby's body to specific wavelengths of light using lasers, light-emitting diodes, fluorescent lamps, dichroic lamps or very bright, full-spectrum light). We kept Chikku under photo rays without a single cloth on her body. During this winter we shew even after wearing warm clothes, think of Chikku's condition, she is lying on bed with bare body!!! She started shewering and cried for 2-3 hrs. Doctor said she will take some time to adjust. Today night too we struggled to feed her. Ohh God!!! where are you? are you on vacatoin?? why you are doing this to my Kid??? are you listening GOD????

Mon Dec 13, 2010: Yuppeeee!!! Seems GOD is back on his work. He might have seen my call in "Missed call list" :-) Chikku felt somewhat better, Doctor asked us to shift Prabha to Chikku's room. Now Prabha can able to walk slowly, so we discharged Prabha from Materinity hospital and shifted her to Chikku's room. A big smile on Prabha's face. Both baby and mother felt very much happy. We observed red spots, pimple like structures all over Chikku's body. Nurse ruptured those with a needle and applied ointment. Obviously Chikku cried but thank GOD, this was the last needle which touched Chikku's body. Doctor said the photo therapy should be continued for another 3-4 days.

Thu Dec 16, 2010: Chikku recovered from Jaundice, today she is playing and starring everyone. Doctor had given green signal to discharge. Thank God !!! you give us hard time to realise our strengths/weakness, to know how strong/weak the relationships are. to make us strong and relationships stronger !!!
